I'm not sure about the legal issues.
Since they are taking money to make the film and it's not a small amount requested.
I think it would be cool to see it completed, but they don't sound like they've contacted all the legalities they need to yet. Though I'm not positive, I've never needed to look into it.

True but it's still really cool it was surprising he make that trailer with no funds.
